On September 7th-10th, ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase was invited to showcase in
Surabaya Fashion Parade, Surabaya, Indonesia. A collaboration in celebrating
Indonesian and Asian fashion around the regent presented by Indonesian Fashion
Chamber.
The 16th Surabaya Fashion Parade themed “Enigmatico” showcased exceptional fashion
designers from Indonesia and international fashion designers. Fashion designers were
summoned to think out of the box to showcase creativity with different fabrics and
techniques. AFDS designers The InSane Studio and Myriad Grand Monde joined local
Indonesian fashion designers to showcase the most unique and creative collections on
the Runway.
Representing Thailand, designer Thinthananpachr Jantajaroenpon from the Myriad
Grand Monde showcased his collection “The power of beauty”. AFDS designer from
Singapore Terry Yeo from The InSane Studio showcased his collection “Lovely Maiden”. “
Let the winds of heaven blow through the paths among the clouds and close their gates.
Then for a while I could detain these messengers in maiden form” a haiku by The Monk
Henjo inspired Terry Yeo for this new collection.

AFDS was developed to raise awareness and appreciation for the unique style and
diversity in the Asean region while promoting greater cross-cultural and creative
collaboration. Growing mainstream regional awareness for fashion designers and models
while nurturing up-and-coming, local fashion designers and models. AFDS will continue to
collaborate with Indonesia Fashion Chamber for more upcoming fashion festivals and
fashion weeks in Indonesia this year.
