As a Black-owned private school with fashion design dual enrollment programs, South Florida Fashion Academy and its talented fashion design and beauty students are gearing up to celebrate a major event and milestone for the fashion world as they debut new fashion collections at their year-end graduation capstone this Friday, May 29th at Art Serve in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Elementary, middle and high school students will also showcase their own beauty brands and products that they have developed over the last year at South Florida Fashion Academy. "Our students get their core education in the morning, then they take their lunch and study their elective specialty in the afternoon. Whether that is fashion design, fashion merchandising, barbering, cosmetology or nail technology, they all get to learn and refine their passionate creative skills and get on a path for a successful career post graduation," said Taj McGill, founder/director of South Florida Fashion Academy.
These talented and passionate students turn their fashion and beauty fashions into tangible businesses and brands thanks to the dual-enrollment programs at SF/FA.
This year's student runway fashion event will highlight the creativity, growth and talent that SF/FA students developed over this past school year. They will debut stunning new fashion collections, avant-garde hair styles, creative makeup looks and creative barber styles (from the gentlemen in SF/FA’s Barber program)! In addition, there will be musical dance performances and visual art on display! The night will be one to remember and filled with so much joyous creativity, inspiration and excitement! Attendees will experience an evening where artistry, education and self-expression collide on the runway!
