VOGUE SINGAPORE’S LANDMARK EVENT, NEXT IN VOGUE, CONTINUES TO
DEFINE THE FUTURE OF FASHION IN SINGAPORE

22 OCTOBER 2024, SINGAPORE: Vogue Singapore successfully concluded its highly anticipated landmark
event, NEXT IN VOGUE 2024, held at The Capitol Kempinski Hotel and
The Capitol Theatre from 16 to 17 October. The two-day event attracted over 1,200 attendees, featuring a
dynamic programme of panels, fringe events and technological innovations, making it the
first-of-its-kind fashion event to be hosted in Singapore. Themed ‘AI & I’, this year's focus explored the
intersection of artificial intelligence within creative industries.

Conference

Across two days, NEXT IN VOGUE Conversations hosted 14 panels, featuring 42 distinguished
speakers including pioneers like Nick Knight, Krista Kim, Gaurav Gupta and Chet Lo. Topics
ranged from AI's impact on fashion and design to the ethical considerations of technology in creativity.
Attendees engaged in thoughtful discussions that unveiled the future of fashion, culture and digital transformation.

The event also featured five fringe activities, including Vogue Closet—a curated showcase of
celebrity red-carpet designs by leading Asian designers such as Chet Lo, Gaurav Gupta and
Cong Tri, and Vogue Innovation Showcase, which introduced groundbreaking technologies such
as the debut of singer Charli XCX’s immersive experience on Apple Vision Pro, produced by
SHOWStudio and Nomtek.

GLAM ROOM

In the Vogue Glam Room, attendees participated in seven masterclasses across two days, led by
industry experts from brands like Kevin Murphy, SK-II and Shu Uemura. These sessions provided insights
into the latest beauty techniques, from seasonal make-up trends to professional hairstyling tips.

The NEXT IN VOGUE celebrations ended with Vogue Singapore’s Fourth Anniversary Gala
themed Les Enfants Terribles: The Art of Rebellion, which showcased a rare moment of bold, expressive
dressing-up culture in Singapore. The event hosted 300 VIPs across industries
that included fashion, beauty, music and business, and attracted venture capitalists, regional TV
personalities and content creators. In addition, the exclusive guest list also welcomed
distinguished diplomatic representatives from various countries.

Guests embraced the evening rebellious fashion spirit with bold and daring fashion choices.
Among the standout looks, Stephanie Hsu dazzled in Giambattista Valli Couture while private
investor and style influencer Wendy Long turned heads in Jean Paul Gaultier complemented by
a striking headpiece from The Humid House. Jack Gohr made a statement in Emporio Armani
embellished with Swarovski. Shawn Soh arrived wearing Yves Salomon, Rick Owens and Jean
Paul Gaultier.

Next in Vogue Gala

The event kicked off with a welcome reception where guests were served cocktails by Don Julio
and Royal Salute as well as champagne by Gosset along with bites from Forged and The Royal
Caviar Club. The best-dressed VIPs were invited to the exclusive black carpet where Yvette King, Vogue Singapore's contributing editor, was hosting interviews which are available to view on Vogue Singapore's social pages.

Here are other highlights from the Gala:

1. The Capitol Theatre was transformed into a fashion playground, bringing together four
regional designers for a show curated by Vogue Singapore’s Fashion team:

a. Grace Ling, Singapore: Grace Ling's 3D-printed designs fuse fashion and
technology, showcasing a razor-sharp, sensual aesthetic. Her recent collection,
unveiled at New York Fashion Week, captivates with its innovative creativity.
b. Brian Khoo, Malaysia: Brian Khoo’s collection, A Nostalgic Reverie, combines
whimsical couture with luxurious metallic fabrics and vibrant colours.
c. Phan Huy, Vietnam: Phan Huy’s latest collection beautifully marries romance
with fashion, featuring meticulously crafted silhouettes adorned with handcrafted
flowers and delicate beadwork that pay tribute to femininity.
d. Adeline Esther, Indonesia: Adeline Esther’s collection blends experimental
silhouettes with daring sequins, merging heritage and imagination. Her couture
designs embody the innovative spirit of contemporary high fashion, redefining
traditional aesthetics

2. A live musical performance by Singaporean singer-songwriter, Shazza
3. The distribution of two awards to highlight Vogue Singapore’s commitment to championing
emerging creative talent:

a. The Vogue Singapore Talent Prize in partnership with CHARLES & KEITH that
was presented by Natasha Damodaran, Managing Director of Vogue Singapore,
and Academy Award nominated actress, Stephanie Hsu, to collage artist Claire
Boon and,

b. The Vogue Singapore x BMW Group Asia Innovation Prize 2024 presented
by Petra Sekhar, Programme Director of Vogue Foundation, and Lars Nielsen,
Managing Director of BMW Group Asia, to Barbara Yu Larsson, Founder of
PAKT, an innovative wardrobe storage system.

As a platform to merge fashion and innovation, NEXT IN VOGUE 2024 continues to set the
standard for future-forward conversations and experiences in the region. Announcements for
NEXT IN VOGUE 2025 will be revealed in March 2025.

This year, NEXT IN VOGUE was presented by Singapore Tourism Board and The Capitol
Kempinski Hotel, in partnership with SK-II, Shu Uemura, Dyson, Don Julio, Royal Salute, Kevin
