Manila, Philippines – Manila International Fashion Week (MIFW) successfully concluded its highly anticipated Season 7 on June 12, 2026, at the Grand Ballroom 1 & 2, Okada Manila, reaffirming its position as one of the Philippines' premier international fashion platforms. Under the theme "Bridging Nations Through Fashion," the event gathered world-class designers, models, creatives, industry leaders, media, and fashion enthusiasts from around the globe for an unforgettable celebration of creativity, culture, and collaboration.
This year's edition showcased the transformative power of fashion as a universal language, bringing together designers and delegates from the Philippines, Russia, the United States, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). Through every runway presentation, MIFW celebrated cultural identity while fostering meaningful international partnerships and creative exchange.
The day began with Young Faces to Watch Cycle 7, spotlighting the next generation of fashion talent. Emerging models graced the runway in collections by internationally recognized designers including Emily Sy (USA), Jay-r Gamboa Flores (Philippines), Bello Vibes Collections (Philippines), Elena Murzina (Russia), Pamela Lomibao (Philippines), and Karolina Yakovenko (Russia). The segment was further elevated by a captivating live performance from Russian artist Ekaterina Adamaitis, highlighting the event's commitment to artistic and cultural collaboration.
The excitement continued with MIFW The Model Search 2026, the official modeling competition of Manila International Fashion Week. Guided by the empowering theme "Your Platform. Your Power. Your Runway," the competition provided aspiring and professional models with a prestigious platform to showcase their talent before industry professionals. Presented by Xpress and Well Hair, the segment reflected MIFW's ongoing mission to discover and nurture the next generation of fashion ambassadors.
Adding a fresh digital dimension to the program was the Content Creators Runway Challenge, where influencers and creators from the fields of fashion, beauty, travel, and lifestyle demonstrated how social media continues to shape and amplify the global fashion industry.
The Fashion For All segment reinforced MIFW's advocacy for inclusivity, sustainability, and self-expression. Designers Jason Tanjuakio, Pamela Lomibao, Mary Grace Balacdao Lee, Precious Jewel Dimaculangan, Studio JMX/Kuture ni Jean, and the MIFW Style Collective presented inspiring collections that celebrated diversity through fashion. Special appearances by talents from Star Worx, TV5's official talent management arm, added excitement to the showcase.
One of the evening's defining highlights was Modest Fashion: Experience BARMM, an inspiring presentation featuring designers from the Bangsamoro region. The collection honored the rich traditions, artistry, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage of Mindanao through contemporary modest fashion, demonstrating how fashion can preserve identity while embracing modern design.
