- 1. What attracted you to begin a career as an actor? Why do you feel this is the
- ideal profession for you?
- I’ve always been fascinated by the power of storytelling. Acting allows me to step into
- different lives, cultures, and emotions—and in doing so, connect with people on a deep,
- human level. It’s more than just performing; it’s about impact. This profession feels ideal
- because it’s a blend of art, discipline, and empathy—qualities I value deeply. Being on
- set or stage makes me feel alive and purposeful.
- 2. Teamwork and the ability to work with large numbers of people is important in
- this role. How do you cope working within a large team? Why do you think
- teamwork is important?
- Acting is never a solo endeavor. Every project, whether film, television, or commercial is
- a collaboration of creative minds. I thrive in team environments because I genuinely
- enjoy learning from others, whether it’s directors, crew, or fellow actors. Teamwork
- builds trust and brings out the best in everyone. It’s that shared vision and mutual
- respect that elevates a good performance into something unforgettable.
- 3. Motivation is important within the acting profession. What would you say is
- your motivator currently? How do you remain positive and focused within your role.
- Right now, my biggest motivator is the opportunity to represent diversity on a global
- stage. As a South Asian actor and model, I feel a responsibility to break stereotypes
- and open doors for others. I stay positive by focusing on gratitude and growth—every
- role, audition, or even rejection teaches me something. Meditation, fitness, and keeping
- a close circle of grounded people also help keep me focused.
- 4. To be an established actor you need to be able to measure your success and
- build on this. How do you evaluate success within your role?
- Success to me is about growth, impact, and authenticity. It’s not just about screen time
- or box office, it’s about how deeply I connect to the character, how much I’ve evolved in
- the craft, and whether the audience felt something genuine. I also set personal
- milestones: working with a dream director, mastering new skills, or representing my
- culture with pride.
- 5. Thinking back over your career to date, what has been your greatest
- accomplishment as an actor?
- My first opportunity in ‘Barbie’ movie by Warner Bros then ‘Haunted Mansion’ movie by
- Disney acting alongside Hollywood stars was my biggest satisfaction and was a turning
- point later it led to play the title role of “Indian” in ‘Cowboy & Indian’ and playing lead
- role in ‘PHANI’ International movie. It was bold, unique, and gave me a platform to
- explore a layered character in a genre that rarely features actors who look like me. It
- also challenged me both emotionally and physically, which made the experience
- incredibly fulfilling.
- “In addition to my work in Hollywood projects, I’m proud to be part of the Indian film
- Phani, directed by the legendary V N Aditya, which is set to release soon. This
- experience has enriched my understanding of diverse cinematic cultures and further
- fueled my passion for cross-cultural storytelling.”
- 6. Talk me through some of your biggest achievements to date. Why were these
- memorable to you and how did you achieve them?
- Being featured in global commercials for brands like Dell, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota,
- Chase, Margaritaville, Google, Insperity, Verizon and Michelob Ultra’s Super Bowl
- campaign stands out. These weren’t just career milestones, they represented years of
- consistent work, self-belief, and preparation meeting opportunity. Each project taught
- me how to adapt to high-pressure sets, take direction quickly, and bring authenticity to
- every frame.
- 7. What have you learnt from previous roles and your past experience that would
- benefit you in this role?
- I’ve learned to listen—not just to lines, but to the unspoken energy in a scene. I’ve also
- learned resilience and professionalism: showing up on time, respecting the team, and
- giving 100% whether it's a major film or a short scene. All of these experiences have
- helped me become adaptable and deeply committed to every role I take on.
- 8. Who is your role model from within the acting industry and why?
- I admire actors like Irrfan Khan (Indian actor) and Denzel Washington for their emotional
- range, humility, and ability to bridge different cultures with grace. They chose roles with
- substance and used their platforms to challenge norms, which I find incredibly inspiring.
- 9. What type of acting role would interest you the most and why?
- I’m drawn to complex, emotionally layered characters, especially those that explore
- identity, culture, or transformation or psychological thrillers really excite me, as they
- push both emotional depth and intellectual challenge. I also have a strong interest in
- playing characters that break South Asian stereotypes in Hollywood.
- 10. Focus on your career aspirations. Ten years from now, where do you see
- yourself?
- In ten years, I see myself as a globally recognized actor and storyteller, someone who
- not only performs but also produces stories that matter. I hope to be leading major
- international projects, launching creative ventures like Desilife™ and PIXELS to
- mentoring young talent, especially from underrepresented communities. Ultimately, I
- want to create a legacy that blends art with impact.
