The Manila International Fashion Week (MIFW) Team recently embarked on a memorable four-day visit to the province of Antique, blending fashion, tourism, and cultural appreciation through a dynamic summer photoshoot and campaign initiative.
Day 1: Warm Welcome and Cozy Beginnings
The journey began with a comfortable stay at MICASA Hometel, setting the tone for a relaxing yet productive trip. The evening was highlighted by a warm and delightful welcome dinner hosted by Elsavordfranz Restaurant and Catering Services, where the team experienced genuine Antiqueño hospitality
.
Day 2: Sun, Style, and Creativity in Pandan
The team traveled to Pandan for the MIFW Kids & Teens Summer Photoshoot, held at the scenic Antique Amor Bungalows and Villas in Tingib Pandan. The event showcased young modeling talents in a vibrant seaside setting, capturing creativity, confidence, and fun under the sun.
Day 3: Mountain Escape and Sweet Moments in Aningalan
Before heading to the highlands of Aningalan, the MIFW Team made a special stop at Calawag Mountain Resort in Tibiao, where they enjoyed the refreshing ambiance and scenic natural surroundings.
The journey then continued to Aningalan, fondly known as the “Little Baguio of Antique.” Nestled in the mountains, the area welcomed the team with cool, crisp air and breathtaking panoramic views—offering a peaceful escape from the lowlands and a perfect setting for relaxation and inspiration.
The team extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Earl Autajay and Dr. Mae Autajay for their warm hospitality, making the visit even more memorable.
One of the highlights of the day was the visit to the Aningalan Highland Strawberry Garden, proudly owned by the parents of MIFW Model Cavell Abigail Nodque. The experience was both delightful and immersive, as the team enjoyed strawberry picking firsthand, sampled their signature strawberry pizza, and savored refreshing drinks made from freshly harvested produce.
It was truly a sweet and unforgettable moment—capturing the charm, warmth, and unique highland lifestyle that make Antique a remarkable destination.
Day 4: Strengthening Partnerships with Local Leaders
The final day of the MIFW Team’s Antique visit was dedicated to fostering meaningful connections through courtesy calls with key local officials. The team had the honor of meeting Mayor Mar Mission of the Municipality of San Remigio, Mayor Paul Joseph Untaran of the Municipality of San Jose de Buenavista, and Governor Paolo Javier of the Province of Antique.
These significant engagements highlighted the shared vision between MIFW and the province in promoting tourism, culture, and creative industries. Through these discussions, both parties explored opportunities for collaboration that will further elevate Antique as a premier destination for fashion tourism and cultural exchange.
The visit concluded on a high note, reinforcing MIFW’s strong commitment to building lasting partnerships with local leaders and communities—paving the way for future initiatives that celebrate both fashion and heritage.
