Designer Evan Hirsch returns to New York Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2027 with New Journeys Through Old Memories, his latest collection created in partnership with ShopGoodwill.com®. Drawing inspiration from the silhouettes, textures, and visual language of the past, Hirsch transforms pre-loved garments and vintage finds sourced through ShopGoodwill.com into highly crafted, contemporary looks that celebrate the possibilities of secondhand fashion.
For Hirsch, the collection is rooted in the tension between memory and reinvention, taking familiar materials and references from another era and giving them an entirely new life.
“This Spring/Summer 2027 collection is very meaningful to me. I decided to call it New Journeys Through Old Memories because not only am I creating looks from pre-loved garments, but I also wanted to invoke a sense of vintage nostalgia calling back to silhouettes of the past,” said Evan Hirsch. “This collection relies heavily on different textures, such as lace, beading, and metallic fabrics. Through this collaborative process and the incredible sourcing from the ShopGoodwill.com team, I’ve been able to bring my vision to life in the most sustainable way.”
The collection marks Hirsch’s third collaboration with ShopGoodwill.com continuing a partnership that explores the intersection of fashion, resale, creativity, and social impact. Rather than treating secondhand materials as limitations, Hirsch approaches each garment as a starting point, preserving elements of its history while completely reimagining its role.
Vintage-inspired silhouettes are layered with intricate embellishment, lace, beading, metallic textures, and unexpected fabric combinations. Pre-loved garments become the foundation for pieces that feel simultaneously familiar and new, reflecting Hirsch’s interest in the stories that clothing can carry from one owner, era, or occasion to the next.
“Through this partnership, fashion becomes a powerful platform for storytelling, sustainability, and social impact,” said George Burt, COO of ShopGoodwill.com. “We’re excited to continue working with Evan and to engage Goodwill NYNJ in bringing this experience to life locally. Together, we’re demonstrating how donated goods can inspire creativity while helping fund programs that empower individuals and strengthen communities.”
The show brings Hirsch and ShopGoodwill.com’s shared vision to New York Fashion Week: that the future of fashion does not always require something new. With New Journeys Through Old Memories, Hirsch continues to push the boundaries of what secondhand fashion can become by creating a collection that is rooted in the past while looking firmly toward the future.
