Filipino and Indonesian Models Unite on the Runway for Bench Bello at Bali International Fashion Week 2026
BALI, INDONESIA — International fashion designer Bench Bello proudly represented the Philippines at Bali International Fashion Week (BIFW) 2026, presenting his latest collection, “HABI: Threads Across Islands,” during the international fashion event held from September 24–26, 2026, at Museum Pasifika, The Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia.
BIFW 2026 brought together more than 100 models and 31 designers from 15 countries, creating an international platform for fashion, culture, creativity, and cross-border collaboration. Bello was among the participating international designers representing the Philippines.
A highlight of Bello’s presentation was the coming together of Filipino and Indonesian models on one runway, reflecting the collection’s message of cultural connection and creative exchange across borders.
“HABI: Threads Across Islands” celebrates the relationship between heritage craftsmanship and modern Asian fashion. Traditional woven textiles were reinterpreted as architectural accents across contemporary silhouettes, incorporating geometric panels, structured tailoring, statement details, and modern proportions.
For menswear, Bello explored modern formal tailoring through Mandarin collars, asymmetrical closures, sharply tailored trousers, and geometric woven elements. The collection reflects a dialogue between tradition and modernity—honoring the artistry of weaving while presenting it through a contemporary international perspective.
The participation further strengthens creative connections between the Philippines and Indonesia, demonstrating how fashion can serve as a platform for cultural exchange and collaboration among designers, models, and creative communities across Southeast Asia.
Bali International Fashion Week 2026 was organized by Lenny Hartono Management.
Through HABI: Threads Across Islands, Bench Bello continues his international journey of bringing Filipino creativity to global platforms while building stronger connections with the international fashion community.
