ASPARA FASHION WEEK 16 SEASON
ASPARA FASHION WEEK XVI:
THE FASHION OF TRADITION AND TECHNOLOGY
THE FASHION OF TRADITION AND TECHNOLOGY
From September 23 to 26, 2025, the ancient city of Taraz once again became the crossroads where fashion and culture transcend time.
The sixteenth season of ASPARA FASHION WEEK unfolded under the concept “ASPARA: The Fashion of Tradition and Technology” — a manifesto celebrating the harmony of craftsmanship, innovation, and cultural heritage.
ASPARA stands as a unique cultural bridge between the past and the future.
Here, in the heart of the Great Silk Road, traditional artistry gains a digital dimension, and creativity becomes the universal language of connection and dialogue.
The Idea of the Season: Culture in Motion
The central idea of this season was to establish a powerful cultural and creative platform that intertwines heritage, contemporary design, and digital technology.
ASPARA continues to empower both emerging and established designers, fostering international collaboration, sustainability, and innovation in fashion’s ever-evolving landscape.
ASPARA DIGITAL RUNWAY — The Digital Dimension of Fashion
House of Friendship, September 23
Slogan: “No Borders. No Time. No Barriers.”
The festival opened with ASPARA DIGITAL RUNWAY, a visionary showcase where fashion transcended the limits of the physical world.
Designers from Kazakhstan, Europe, and Asia presented their collections through 3D, AR, VR, and fashion-film formats — seamlessly merging artistry and technology.
Innovative presentations allowed a truly global audience to experience a new generation of fashion — thoughtful, sustainable, and technologically inspired.
ASPARA FASHION WEEK — The Physical Platform
Shakhristan Exhibition Hall, September 24–25
Slogan: “Culture in Motion. Style Through Time.”
The main stage of the week brought together designers from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Serbia, Italy, Indonesia, Korea, China, and Mongolia.
Their collections, inspired by neo-folk and sustainable aesthetics, reflected the richness of regional cultural codes and creative identity.
Among the standout presentations were “Steppe & Ocean” (ASPARA × PERADA Batik, Kazakhstan–Indonesia), “Nomad Soul” by Kyrgyz Ethno Atelier, “Silk Route Renaissance” by Marianna Miceli (Italy), and “Echo of Eternal Steppe” by the emerging Kazakh brand KALI.
The International Fashion Designers Competition
A major highlight of the season was the International Fashion Designers Competition, organized by the Department of Education of the Zhambyl Region as part of Kazakhstan’s Year of Working Professions.
Its mission was to show that work is beauty, dignity, and pride — and that the designer’s craft itself embodies respect for human labor.
Young designers and students aged 16 to 25 presented mini-collections on the theme “The Working Person: A Style Worth Respect.”
It was here that new voices emerged — visionaries destined to shape the cultural identity of Kazakhstan’s creative future.
ASPARA FASHION AWARDS — A Celebration of Excellence
House of Friendship, September 26
Slogan: “Honoring Those Who Create the Fashion of Tomorrow.”
The grand finale of the season was the ASPARA FASHION AWARDS, a ceremony that revisited fifteen previous seasons and celebrated those who have shaped the event’s legacy.
The Awards brought together both physical and digital designers, photographers, journalists, stylists, and creative partners whose contributions continue to define the evolution of Kazakhstan’s fashion scene.
Among the key categories were Best Collection of the Season, Neo-Folk Designer of the Year, Best Digital Runway Presentation, Aspara Global Media Award, and Backstage Heroes of ASPARA.
Presented in a hybrid format — combining a live broadcast with a visually striking cinematic montage — the ceremony featured runway highlights, interviews, and heartfelt tributes from winners around the world.
A Synthesis of Craftsmanship, Technology, and the Future
The sixteenth season marked the most innovative chapter in the history of ASPARA FASHION WEEK.
AR installations, NFT certificates, 3D runways, and digital fashion archives underscored the event’s commitment to sustainability, creativity, and technological advancement.
A key feature was the Fashion Tourism Route — a journey that linked runway shows with artisan workshops across the Zhambyl Region, allowing guests to experience Kazakhstan’s living heritage firsthand.
The Mission of ASPARA
ASPARA is more than fashion — it is a philosophy where tradition fuels innovation, and culture becomes the inspiration for the future.
From the ancient city of Taraz, the voice of modern Asia resonated once again — powerful, elegant, and profoundly inspiring.
