July 24-29, Nanxun Ancient Town, the millennial water town of Huzhou, Zhejiang, became a living runway as the Silk Road International Fashion Week and Nanxun Ancient Town Fashion Week united nearly a thousand fashion elites from over a dozen countries. At the heart of the spectacle, ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase featured Hayden Ng (Singapore), Even Ong (Malaysia), and Laotian talents Bandid Lasavong and Thoulany Chanthalangsy, ignited the historic canals with Southeast Asian creativity, charting a new coordinate on the Silk Road International Fashion Week .
Laotian brocades fluttered across misty bridges, Singaporean tailoring mirrored the Ditang River, and Malaysia’s dynamic femininity collided with ancient serenity—transforming Nanxun into a vibrant cultural experience.
Hayden Ng, President of ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase and ASEAN International Fashion Week, brought timeless Singaporean minimalism and a cross-border collaboration model that positions Nanxun as the new hub for ASEAN creativity.
Even Ong fused playful precision and feminine power, creating “dynamic stillness” inspired by the town’s calm canals.
Bandid Lasavong introduced refined Laotian menswear, filling a luxury niche for the Chinese market.
Thoulany Chanthalangsy elevated heritage handweaving into contemporary luxury, proving that intangible heritage is the new couture.
This high-impact showcase not only recast Nanxun as a global fashion destination but also opened pathways for a China–ASEAN Fashion Innovation Hub, linking heritage artisans, luxury markets, and cross-border brands. Supported by Xin Yao Lai International Group, Rolls-Royce, and Lamborghini, the event solidified Nanxun’s evolution from cultural preserve to global fashion lab, weaving a modern Silk Road of creativity and commerce.
When Hayden’s silk gowns sweep under Tongjin Bridge and Thoulany’s brocade robes shimmer in Baijian Lou’s reflections, Nanxun is no longer just a water town—it is the new beating heart of the Silk Road in fashion.
