Launch of Áo Dài Fashion Week 2026 – Where Vietnam Meets the World
Áo Dài Fashion Week 2026 (ADFW26) announces the launch of a new international platform dedicated to redefining the áo dài within the context of contemporary global fashion.
More than a traditional costume, the áo dài stands as one of Vietnam’s most enduring cultural symbols. ADFW26 reimagines this iconic garment as a living design language - one that evolves with modern creativity while remaining deeply rooted in cultural identity.
At ADFW26, each designer presents more than a collection. Every showcase reflects a personal narrative shaped by memory, heritage, and the shifting dialogue between culture and modern life. Rather than treating tradition as decorative nostalgia, participating designers reinterpret the áo dài through thoughtful contemporary perspectives, placing it confidently within today’s global fashion landscape.
The ADFW26 runway is intentionally curated to foster meaningful industry engagement. Designers will present their work to a selected audience that includes international media, collectors, stylists, buyers, and curators seeking original voices and culturally grounded design perspectives.
Beyond the runway, ADFW26 places strong emphasis on professional documentation and storytelling. Each season will be captured through high quality runway imagery, editorial video production, designer interviews, and behind the scenes documentation. These materials serve both as global media assets and as a long-term archive preserving the creative vision of participating designers.
ADFW26 creates a platform for cultural dialogue, connecting people, bridging past and present, and introducing Vietnamese design perspectives to the international fashion community.
Participation in ADFW26 represents an opportunity to contribute to a long-term cultural initiative: building a contemporary legacy for the áo dài, fostering cross-border creative collaboration, and bringing Vietnamese fashion closer to the world’s leading stages.
