ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase x Silk Road International Fashion Week marked a powerful moment of regional collaboration as Thailand and Singapore took center stage in a landmark showcase celebrating ASEAN creativity, heritage, and contemporary design innovation.
Held in Foshan, the showcase was part of a broader cultural and fashion exchange platform bridging ASEAN and China under the Silk Road creative economy vision. The presentation highlighted the strength of Southeast Asian design narratives through craftsmanship, cultural storytelling, and forward-looking aesthetics.
Representing Thailand, designer Pitnapat Yotinratanachai captivated audiences with a collection rooted in classical heritage, refined techniques, and timeless elegance. In recognition of her contribution to preserving and reinterpreting cultural legacy through fashion, she was honored with the Classic Heritage Designer Award.
Singapore was represented by designer Indra Murak, whose collection brought a bold, modern energy to the runway. Known for pushing creative boundaries and embracing experimental silhouettes, Indra Murak was awarded the Trend and Creative Designer Award, acknowledging his influence on contemporary fashion and creative innovation.
The showcase was led and presented under the vision of Hayden Ng, President of ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase(AFDS). His presence underscored AFDS’s ongoing mission to position ASEAN designers on global platforms and to foster cross-border collaboration through fashion, culture, and creative diplomacy.
“This Thailand–Singapore collaboration represents more than a runway presentation,” said Hayden Ng. “It reflects ASEAN’s shared heritage, our evolving creative identity, and our collective readiness to engage meaningfully with China and the wider international fashion ecosystem.”
The AFDS x Silk Road International Fashion Week showcase in Foshan reaffirmed fashion’s role as a cultural bridge—strengthening ties between ASEAN nations while deepening creative exchange with China. The event further reinforced AFDS’s commitment to nurturing regional talent and elevating Southeast Asian fashion on the global stage.
