Singaporean elegance meets Korean artistry at AFDS × Silk Road International Fashion Week, Beijing Fashion Week
September 2026
13 September 2026 | Wangfujing Street, Beijing BEIJING — On a morning when fashion turns one of Beijing's most legendary streets into a stage for imagination, two distinctive Asian creative voices will converge beneath the lights of Wangfujing Street. On 13 September 2026, Singaporean designer Hayden Ng and Korean designer and artist Oh Hye-Young, founder of OHGYO, will unveil their latest creative visions at AFDS × Silk Road International Fashion Week, presented as part of Beijing Fashion Week. Two designers. Two cultures. Two radically individual aesthetics. And yet, beneath the difference lies a shared conviction: Asian fashion has its own voice, its own poetry and its own place at the centre of the global fashion conversation. HAYDEN NG CRIMSON ASCENDANCY. There is a particular kind of woman who does not need to announce her strength. She enters the room — and it is felt. For Hayden Ng, that woman is the soul of CRIMSON ASCENDANCY, his latest expression of contemporary femininity and one of the defining creative statements of his Beijing presentation.
Crimson becomes more than a colour. It becomes an emotion — passion, courage, transformation and desire. Against dramatic silhouettes and expressive volumes, fluid textures and captivating prints create a wardrobe for a woman who has lived, learned and emerged stronger. This is femininity without fragility. Elegance without restraint. Power without sacrificing grace. The collection captures the moment of transformation when a woman rises above what has defined her and becomes something entirely her own. CRIMSON ASCENDANCY is therefore not simply a collection. It is an attitude. A woman rises. She remembers who she is. And she ascends. For Hayden Ng, this philosophy is deeply connected to his own creative journey. Since founding his fashion label HAYDEN in 1987, he has developed a signature aesthetic rooted in sophisticated femininity, contemporary elegance and the belief that beauty should never be restricted by age or convention. His work has taken him from Singapore to fashion and cultural platforms across Asia, while his founding of the ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase (AFDS) has further expanded his commitment to connecting designers, models and creative communities across the region. Now, beneath the lights of Wangfujing, his crimson vision takes its place on one of Asia's most iconic fashion streets.
OHGYO SILVER FOREST If Hayden Ng's world is crimson, OHGYO enters through another realm entirely. Silver. Shadow. Light. Nature. Art. For Korean designer and artist Oh Hye-Young, fashion becomes a canvas through which the boundaries between artwork and garment begin to disappear. Her SS27 collection, SILVER FOREST, is inspired by her own artwork — an imaginative landscape translated from the visual world into three-dimensional form. The forest becomes a metaphor. Mysterious. Ethereal. Ever-changing. Silhouettes appear to emerge from an imagined landscape, while texture, movement and form create an atmosphere that feels simultaneously organic and otherworldly. Rather than simply dressing the body, OHGYO invites the audience into a visual universe. SILVER FOREST is fashion as art — where the garment becomes an extension of the artist's imagination. It is a distinctly Korean creative perspective presented within an international Asian fashion dialogue.
AFDS was developed to raise awareness and appreciation for the unique style and diversity in the Asean region while promoting greater cross-cultural and creative collaboration. Growing mainstream regional awareness for fashion designers and models while nurturing up-and-coming, local fashion designers and models
